Based on the same-name Game Cube and Play Station game, situation at the end of Tales of Symphonia, The Animation.
Two worlds exist, both unaware of the other, as two ends of an hourglass where sand is mana. In times, the Angels grant their blessing to a Chosen One who must travels to awaken the Spirits guarding mana: that is the world regeneration. Sylvarant is the homeland of the Chosen Colette and her friends, Lloyd, Genis and Raine. When they reached the final stage of their quest, the true nature of the world regeneration was revealed: the Chosen must sacrifice herself and become a vessel for the Goddess Martel. Refusing to let Colette face this fate, Lloyd opposed the Angels, despite the betrayal of Kratos, and they run away to the other world, Thethe'alla. The balance and the secrecy between the two worlds begin to disappear, and Lloyd and his friends must now pursue their quest in Thethe’alla to save Colette and prevent both worlds to crumble.

Action Action anime usually involve a fairly straightforward story of good guys versus bad guys, where most disputes are resolved by using physical force. It often contains a lot of shooting, explosions and fighting. Adventure Adventures are exciting stories, with new experiences or exotic locales. Adventures are designed to provide an action-filled, energetic experience for the viewer. Rather than the predominant emphasis on violence and fighting that is found in pure action anime, however, the viewer of adventures can live vicariously through the travels, conquests, explorations, creation of empires, struggles and situations that confront the main characters, actual historical figures or protagonists. Under the category of adventures, we can include traditional swashbucklers, serialized films, and historical spectacles, searches or expeditions for lost continents, "jungle" and "desert" epics, treasure hunts and quests, disaster films, and heroic journeys or searches for the unknown. Adventure films are often set in an historical period, and may include adapted stories of historical or literary adventure heroes, kings, battles, rebellion, or piracy. Angels A supernatural being, said to be the messenger of God. They are often depicted as human beings with a pair of white feathered wings and sometimes with a halo. Elves Elf, in common description, near-divine beings, with pointed ears and immortal life-spans. They are sage beings that occupy the realms and gates between humanity and the gods. Fantasy Magic and other supernatural forms are primary elements of plot, theme and/or setting. Distinguished from science fiction and horror by not involving scientific or macabre themes respectively, though the three genres can often overlap each other to some extent. Fantasy World A fantasy world is a type of imaginary world, part of a fictional universe. Typical worlds involve, but are not limited to magic or magical abilities and a medieval theme. Some worlds may be a parallel world tenuously connected to Earth via magical portals or items; a fictional Earth set in the remote past or future; or an entirely independent world set in another universe. Many fantasy worlds draw heavily on real world history, geography and sociology, and also on folklore. High Fantasy Generally a serious and epic story set in an invented world. The world may be more or less based on real world environments or history. Typical fantastical elements are usually dominating, such as elves, dwarves, magicians, invented languages, quests; just to name a few. Magic In a traditional Fantasy anime with medieval setting, the lack of technology is "compensated" by the introduction of the supernatural, i.e. spell-casting, magic wands, and magic circles.
In another setting long-lost technology may be so advanced that it is mistaken for magic (Arthur C. Clarke: "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic"). A single linear focused plot is highly continuous.
A truly random plot is highly discontinuous. Swordplay The act or art of using a sword or similar weapon skillfully.
