Zero no Tsukaima F episode 05
Sunday, 05 February 2012
Well, I can’t say that I looked forward to watching this week’s episode of Zero no Tsukaima F. Probably because all of the action has already been sucked out of it in such an early stage. I thought that their worst enemy had yet to come, but I’m starting to think otherwise. With could they possibly do at this point? Except for fighting amongst each other about who gets to be with Saito… lucky bastard.
The episode was not really that interesting, but it will get you laughing, maybe. Remember how Saito, as a reward for all of his help, got a piece of land that included a big mansion? Well, he and his friends decided to go spend the night there. But not without arguing with Louise’s sister, Eléonore, about how Saito isn’t fit to be her husband. She went on about how he’s a mere plebeian, has no class and about how he could never become (like) a noble. You know, she has a big mouth for someone who got divorced soon after she got married. Both Saito and Louise would be absolutely fools to follow her advice on marriage.

The Knight in the Area episode 05
Sunday, 05 February 2012
Well, well, well… Not bad, not bad at all. I expected a very dramatic episode where people grieved over Suguru’s death, but it turned out to be quite the opposite. Everyone had picked up the broken pieces and continued life, including Kakeru, who had discovered the truth about his survival. The Knight in the Area appears to be full of surprises, I like that.
His brother may not lie beneath the ground, but he carried on with his life, just like his brother would have wanted. He paid his respects and went out with Nana to start their new high school life. The first thing they did was find the soccer club, but that’s only to be expected. Although it’s not the soccer club they wanted to see, but a specific player that was supposed to be in that club.
Kakeru and Nana met up with a few hyperactive kids that led them to their soccer club. Things seemed pretty normal, but what they didn’t know is that they were signing up for the “play for fun” soccer club. The school has two different soccer clubs; the fun one, and the serious one. Kakeru was a little bit angry when he found out the truth, but all he wanted was to cancel is membership in order to join the school’s other soccer club.

So it’s finally here, the anime adaption of the infamous Black Rock Shooter movie. Well it isn’t actually an adaption, it’s more like a new version, but that’s just fine. This show does have quite the edge though, as its fanbase was big to begin with, so imagine how much bigger it’s going to get. This will definitely influence the show’s ratings.
Visually it’s nothing special, I’ve seen better, but you have to look past that. The show is more than just a few pretty scenes. It may not be that special, but you’ll quickly notice how detailed it is, how much work they put into the unique characters and how creative these artists are. I wouldn’t be surprised if this mini show ended up surpassing the OVA, although that would be a very difficult to accomplish.
The story is what draws you in. You follow the same characters in two different worlds. I know it sounds strange, but it’s pretty good. You immediately know someone’s talking about this show when you hear words like; “glowing blue eye” or “huge canon in her hand”. Black Rock Shooter is very well known for that, and to think that they achieved that in just a few years.
This show contains a lot of action, drama, violence and slices of life (believe it or not). It’s the kind of show where you need to call upon your imagination. Action junkies will probably like this one, but I’m not too sure about the people who’d rather watch something with a serious story. So if you like shows like D. Gray-man and S-cry-ed then you might want to try out Black Rock Shooter.
Plot Summary: In spring, two girls meet: Mato and Yomi. They each sense something in the other that they lack in themselves, and are drawn to each other in spite of their contrasting personalities. Though initially hesitant, they form a strong connection. But they both have secrets – and in an empty world, two girls fight: Black Rock Shooter and Deadmaster. A strange being, Black Gold Saw, watches their mysterious battle, laughing. This is the story of two girls, in two worlds, entangled by the threads of fate.

Amagami SS+ Plus episode 05
Friday, 03 February 2012
Look at the time… I wanted to have this post finished a long time ago, but I couldn’t watch the episode because the weather outside interfered. There’s roughly a few inches of snow outside, but it’s all good! I’m inside, I’m warm and I just watched the fifth episode of Amagami SS Plus.
This time its Ai-chan’s turn to stand in the spotlight. However, the story is a little bit different as both of them are already a couple. I didn’t expect that, but that’s all the more reason to keep watching. The two already have a history together that makes things a little easier for them. Still, just because they’re together doesn’t mean that there can’t be an exciting love story.
First let me tell you something about Ai. She’s the slender swimming type that cares a lot about family, friends and the future. She’s a very average girl that you often encounter; she’s very calm, friendly and surprisingly humble. Needless to say that she’s great girlfriend material, this is why Junichi is once again the luckiest guy alive. She’s still young, but despite her age she has a clear vision of where she wants to be in the future.

Finally! Been looking forward to the new Guilty Crown episode all week, but what I found was not so nice. The episode was good, but what happened was not. I sat on the edge of my seat during this episode, which doesn’t happen all too often.
The story continues as Yahiro tried to convince Shu to prioritize the students from strongest to weakest. Shu wasn’t sure what to do with this idea. He kept saying that it sounded too discriminating. I agree that it’s a little bit discriminating, but in times of war there’s no need for weak and useless “weapons”. If you want to defeat the best, you got to use to best. Too bad Shu doesn’t share my vision.
Time passes as word about the ranking system spreads, causing the weaker students to panic. A small group, led by Souta, came to Shu, asking him if he would draw out there Voids so that they could practice to become stronger. He understood why they asked it, but it’s reckless to let inexperienced students use their Voids unsupervised. Still, Shu ended up trusting them.
